What we do

British Tutors provides the highest standard of private tuition, taught by our team of tutors based in Hong Kong, Singapore and online. We teach students of all ages and abilities in a wide range of subjects.

Our mission is to help children fulfil their academic potential and to inspire in them a lifelong love of learning. Working with students since 2008, we take pride in the successes of our alumni. British Tutors has helped thousands of young and adult learners to improve their academic level, get into top schools of their choice and grow in confidence.

Our team

British Tutors operates as a close knit team of staff and tutors. We are hugely selective about who we bring on to this team, choosing tutors not only for their wealth of experience and own academic excellence but looking for tutors who we would want to teach our own children in our own homes.

We act as a complete support team for students' education, often working with families for years to guide them through every step of their child's education journey.

How we work

One-on-one or group tailored tuition can take place in your home, our office or online. Each tutorial is customised to meet the educational needs of the student as well as appealing to their particular interests and way of working.

Good communication between parents, tutors, tutees and our team is hugely important to us. Our Client Managers work closely to support and maintain this and will be your ongoing point of contact for any questions, advice or concerns. Every month, detailed student reports are sent to parents detailing:

  • Work covered in the lessons

  • The student’s successes and areas for improvement

  • Plans for the coming month of lessons

  • Any suggestions for reading books or support that can be given at home
