Olivia runs British Tutors alongside co-founder Eleanor Ford. A graduate of Christ Church College, Oxford University with a Masters degree in English Language and Literature, she has designed learning programmes, written curricula and taught English and arts subjects both in Hong Kong and abroad. She is a highly experienced private tutor with specialisms including homeschooling, academic assessments and Common Entrance preparation. Olivia runs our consultancy service for UK boarding schools.
Co-founder and Director of British Tutors, Eleanor graduated from The University of Edinburgh with a First Class Masters degree in Psychology. Here she specialised in developmental and educational psychology as well as enhancing learning in children. Eleanor received A grades in all her own school examinations and has tutored pupils in both London and Hong Kong to receive similar results. Since founding British Tutors in 2008, she has worked with our team of tutors to ensure that the highest standards are maintained.
Yolanda works closely with clients and tutors alike to ensure the smooth running of British Tutors. Growing up in Hong Kong, Yolanda speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin giving her insight into the specific needs of Hong Kong parents and the Hong Kong school system. She also brings over eight years of primary teaching experience to the British Tutors team. Yolanda holds a Bachelors degree from Nottingham University, a Masters degree from the University of Hong Kong and a Masters degree from the London School of Economics.
Suzy works alongside the British Tutors team to assist clients in finding the right tutor for their needs. Suzy holds a first class Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from The Open University, UK, and has also studied at Dalhousie University, Canada. She works as a tutor with Primary and Early Years students where her knowledge of developmental and social psychology fuels her love of teaching.
Travis works closely with parents and tutors in Singapore to ensure the British Tutors team provides the highest level of professionalism and dedication. Growing up in Vancouver and living in over a dozen countries, Travis speaks French and Spanish and is learning Indonesian and Malay. He has studied and taught politics and philosophy at the Universities of Victoria, British Columbia and Edinburgh and law at McGill and London - helping him to bring a diverse and international experience to his lessons.
Headed by Salina, the accounts department manages invoicing and sends on detailed monthly progress reports to clients.
Nathaniel is the camera and quill behind the British Tutors social media accounts. He graduated from New College, Oxford with a First Class degree in French and Russian. He teaches English, Latin and French, as well as helping students with their exam technique and essay writing skills.
Sabine is one of London's leading consultants on nursery school and primary school entrance. Drawing on her background as a trained teacher, Sabine has been working in schools consultancy for over a decade. She has developed close working relationships with the most popular schools in Central and West London and, as a result, is well-placed to offer informed, impartial and expert guidance.
Chloe draws on her diverse teaching experience and her detailed knowledge of London schools to advise parents on the best options for their child. She has been working in education for over 15 years, during which time she has qualified as a teacher and as an assessor for children with various Special Educational Needs. Working at prestigious Garden House school and Thomas’s Battersea and well as being a private tutor, she has helped children gain places at all the top London secondary schools.
